Muay Thai Tours with Horizon Thai Boxing Camp
Annual Muay Thai tours of Thailand
The gym is open for Muay Thai training year round. In addition, each year we organise a number of all-inclusive Muay Thai tours in Thailand. We run a six-week tour each year starting in April, a three-week tour each June and two-week tours in March and July of each year. And we can arrange special dates for large groups. Our Muay Thai tours are open to complete beginners and seasoned fighters alike. Women are very welcome. People of all ages may participate though under-17s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. You do not need to be very fit, but the better shape you are in on arrival, the quicker you are likely to develop new skills. Click here to book a place on one of our tours or to ask any questions.

Description: For those of you who crave a deeper understanding of this ancient art, our fully catered six-week tour is designed to be the ultimate Muay Thai experience in Thailand. During this extended trip you will benefit from enormous improvement in your Muay Thai abilities. You will return home with unexpected new fighting skills, a healthier physique and a refreshed attitude to martial arts. You will have the opportunity to experience contrasting Thai lifestyles in three very different parts of Thailand: a multicultural hill town near the border with Burma; the capital’s steaming metropolis, Bangkok; and the stunning tropical island location of Horizon Thai Boxing Camp. Be a spectator at genuine Muay Thai competitions in at least three different venues and under different rules. Witness Muay fought in the traditional style, with no gloves, in a breathtaking competition against Burma. Take ringside seats at one of Bangkok’s top boxing stadiums to see Muay Thai fought in the modern arena, and enjoy regional fight nights in a more rural setting. If it is your goal, you will have the chance to match your skills in the ring against a Thai fighter. This tour is packed with action but still leaves plenty of time for you to absorb Thailand’s fun loving atmosphere and really get close to Thai people. You won’t find a better deal or a group of people more dedicated to making your trip to Thailand extraordinary.

Muay Thai Tour Information
International flights: Prices quoted do not include international flights to Bangkok. You should buy your own flight tickets separately. Purchase your tickets as early as possible to get a good price. You should arrange your flights to arrive in Bangkok on the first day of the tour (this may mean leaving from your home country on the previous day) and leave from Bangkok on the last. If you wish, we can arrange international flights and travel insurance for you at an extra cost. Prices depend on where you are flying from and how early you book. Contact us for details.
Discounts: We offer discounts for group bookings. Contact us for details.
Booking: You can secure your place on any of our tours at any time by completing a tour booking form and sending it to us along with 10 000 Thai baht (approximately $300, £155, €230) non-refundable deposit per person. Final payments for the tours are due at least 10 weeks before the tour is due to start.
Visas: If you are joining our six-week tour you should apply for a three-month tourist visa from the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country. If you are joining our two- or three-week tours you probably don’t need to apply for a visa in advance. Most nationalities are granted a 30-day stay on arrival for free. Check with your nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate. Your passport should have at least six months validity remaining.
Immunizations: There are no required vaccinations for entry into Thailand. Make an appointment with your doctor at least six weeks before you are due to travel to discuss recommendations. Bangkok and Koh Phangan are considered to be free from risk of malaria. So for our two- and three-week tours there is no need to take anti-malarial medicine. For our six-week tour there may be a risk of malaria around Mae Sot close to the border with Burma, but as we are visiting during the dry season, mosquitoes (which carry malaria) do not really pose a problem. Follow your Doctor’s advice. Make sure you are properly protected against tetanus, typhoid, cholera, polio, diphtheria and hepatitis A
